“SNAFU”
Maine residents Michael Menes and Leland Faulkner both make their livelihoods as professional variety entertainers. Michael has been a juggler for over 30 years with appearances worldwide, including Cirque du Soleil’s Solstrom Series. Leland is a character actor, magician and mime artist. His career has included work with The Polar Express and several international stops in China, Japan and Russia.

“HOT FIDDLE”
ASHLEY LIBERTY & DANIEL STRANGE
Violinist Ashley Liberty and pianist Daniel Strange return to the Sawyer Memorial. Together, the two brilliant artists will perform an entire show of smokin’ fast, exciting, foot-stomping music! The duo also includes Vivaldi’s famous “Summer” movement from the Four Seasons and for a cool-down moment, a gorgeous arrangement of “Shower the People” by James Taylor. Returning to the Sawyer Memorial for the first time in five years, Ashley and Daniel are always a great time and a fantastic performance!

Humorist - Tim Sample
His unique New England style of humor has gained him a national following. When introducing Tim on ABC’s Good Morning America, Charles Gibson referred to him as, “The man who wrote the book (literally) on Maine humor!” In addition to TV, radio, albums and writing/illustrating over a dozen books, Sample still finds time to perform all throughout the United States.

Attacked by Confederate soldiers from Alabama and Texas throughout the afternoon and evening on July 2, 1863, Col. Joshua Chamberlain and the men of the 20th Maine hold their ground, then, outnumbered and out of ammunition, the order is given to fix bayonets and prepare to charge. Lambertfilms was founded by filmmaker Daniel Lambert, a native Mainer, and is committed to making history come alive for modern
audiences. Former Maine State Archivist David Cheever will be alongside filmmaker Daniel Lambert for a Q&A after the film.

Stepping in last second to save the day due to a scheduling mishap last summer, Barney returns to the Sawyer Memorial for 2023 in his own right! Barney has been a multi-talented actor, voice actor, comedian and singer-songwriter for over 40 years. After two decades with his band Coos Canyon and comedy trio The Maine Hysterical Society, he is back to his solo acoustic roots performing a collective of classic songs
as well as a tribute to James Taylor. A must see for all JT fans!

PUPPETEERS: "EVERYBODY LOVES PIRATES"
Children’s Day Program
8-year-old Lucy and her goofy pal Little Chucky are searching for buried treasure, but a gang of bumbling pirates keeps getting in the way! The show features 15 hand-crafted puppets and an eight-foot paper mache pirate ship. Great for all ages, especially ages 4 and up.

Stop by for an afternoon of great entertainment and fun! Local food trucks will descend on our large parking lot ready to share their cuisine with you. Come listen to live music as the Sandy River Ramblers play Bluegrass music with a distinctly Maine flavor. There will be games, prizes and so much more! The first 100 people to attend will receive a $5
voucher to use at any of the food trucks for this event. Bring the family, bring yourself, but you do not want to miss this one! Seating will be provided. This event is rain or shine.

From bobby socks, through the space race, and on to civil rights and classic rock, audiences have found this show to be entertaining, inspirational and even a bit educational!
